Planit has announced a series of promotions across several studios, which will help expand and improve our offer in the coming years.
At the Liverpool studio, Landscape Architect Danny Marsh has been appointed to the role of Studio Director. Danny has been instrumental in the development of our Liverpool studio since its launch in 2018.
Danny’s notable work across the region includes the recently completed Southern Grasslands at Festival Gardens, Central Park at Liverpool Waters, Everton Football Club’s new stadium, and extensive involvement in delivering transformational change in St Helens and Birkenhead across a number of key projects.
In Altrincham, Rob Moore will also take on the role of Studio Director. Over the last decade, he has taken the lead on numerous large scale Landscape Architecture projects across the North including – Oldham Town Centre improvements, First Street in Manchester’s city centre, Birmingham’s new Heath Innovation Campus and a 1 million sq ft of mixed-use space at West Bar in Sheffield.
Both Danny and Rob will both continue to directly input into their respective teams and the day-to-day running of projects. Their roles will be expanding to provide technical, design and project management support across our Landscape North team, where their combined skills will help drive the business forward and embrace its regenerative future.
Our Managing Director, Pete Swift, said: “Danny and Rob’s work is crucial to delivering Planit’s mission to become a net positive business and deliver a more regenerative future. Their technical knowledge is unrivalled and they have become adept at managing multiple high profile projects.
“I’m excited to see how they grow in their new roles and how they continue to deliver public spaces that work not just today, but tomorrow and beyond.”
To complete the growing senior team, Mark Fletcher joins our Regenerative Practice studio, returning to the UK, having spent seven years working at Pacific Architecture in Wellington, New Zealand as part of their leadership team. A highly experienced Landscape Architect, Mark has a broad range of discipline experience spanning concept to delivery, covering strategic planning, masterplanning and urban design.
In his new role, Mark will be supporting Ed Lister, Co-Founder, in the growth of Planit in the South West, and working with Director, James King, to give senior support to our London studio.
Ed Lister comments “We opened our rural Cotswolds studio in 2021. Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty it was the perfect fit to establish and grow Planit’s Net Positive practices and regenerative vision. Mark’s arrival and experience will be instrumental in delivering this vision, supporting clients on their journeys to move beyond sustainable practices and help grow our studios across the South.”
Our studio in Leeds also sees the addition of a new senior hire. Tessa Bradbury joins as Project Landscape Architect, again from New Zealand, and will be instrumental in the delivery of Aire Park in Leeds South Bank.
Elsewhere across the business, Victoria Ellenbogen has been promoted to Senior Landscape Architect, Yuan-yin Hsieh and Jonny Helm have been promoted to the role of Project Landscape Architect, Evelyn Ho Landscape Architect, Molly Deakin to Senior Graphic Designer, and Sam Richmond has been promoted to 3D Artist.
